guided lactate treshold test

Hi,

I have done the guided lactate treshold test on my 735XT and I am wondering if executed the test in the way it should be done.

This is what I did: start the test on my watch. Did the warm up and pressed lap to start actual testing. The I ran intervals

4 min. @ heart rate (did not recall the exact numbers), 4 min @ heart rate (slightly higher), 4 min @ hearrate (again higher the previous interval), the 3 min @ hear rate.

In the last interval (the 3 min) I tried to stay below the recommend max heart rate of the interval.

Then the test finished with recommended cooldown.

In this forum I see also test with 3x 4 min and 2x 3 min interval.

See data https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/4925956789

I only have 1x 3 minute interval.Did I do the test correct?

The 3 minutes interval does not have distance data. Why?

Do I have to reach the upper limit of the recommended heart rate in the interval to go to the next? Or does the test stop if I didn't reach the max heart rate of the interval within the given time?

  • The test will run automatically if you set it wright in the watch to test you lactate.

Don't need tot do a extra test. But according to me you have to run longer.

Say a 5 km run with a fast speed.
