The 735XT has been an excellent watch in every respect except for its susceptibility to water damage. I pool swim twice a week and open water swim/surf once or more a week. My first 735XT lasted six months. It was under warranty and Garmin replaced it. The second watch crapped out after another six months. Garmin charged me $100 presumably for a refurbished model. That one just died after a bay swim. I could have run into some bad luck, or this pattern may suggest a flaw. This may be the perfect watch for you if you don't swim, though i've seen comments from people who believe water from the shower damages the watch.
