External HRM Chest Strap goes in and out during workout on 735xt

Hi,

I use the chest strap every day (it's the cheaper one, not the soft one).

The past couple times I've used it, it will show blank, or a HR that is far lower than it should be.

I've tried disconnecting and repairing as well as changing the battery. Any ideas?

How old is the strap? These things tend to deteriorate with age and use.

Figured it out - the battery inside the HRM was loose, had to make sure it rested right where it needed to when I closed it.

It seemed like previously the battery stayed snug in there no matter what, whereas now it seems loose.
