HRM Swim strap won’t sync automatically after pool swim

Hello

I used the HRM Swim strap for the first time today during a pool swim. However, when I finished and got out of the water, the heart rates just wouldn't sync with my watch automatically, I had to do it manually later on. Does anyone have an idea why? And one more thing: Before you start to swim, when is the right time to press the start button on the watch? When you are in or out of the water?

You should not press buttons under water.

I have no problems at all. Once I get my strap above water it sync and show actual rate - even during rest period when I do some intervals.

After swim I get instant upload HR data into watch.

Thank you people, I realized the strap needs to remain tight on your chest throughout the whole activity in order for data to sync automatically at the end.
