My 735XT is about 18 months old. Suddenly it has started to scroll through all the menu settings all of its own accord at a crazy speed. It als does it when you want to change activity. It is unstoppable and the only solution is to turn it off. I did a hard factory reset yesterday which seemed to cure it but now it is doing it again. Has anyone else had this?
Reset it again and then leave it how it is. Don't install any watchfaces, widgets, datafields or apps. Mabe one of the installed things drives the watch crazy.
Looks like a stuck button. If it's still covered by warranty, then I'd suggest contacing Garmin Support for replacement. And if not, then try putting the watch into luke warm water for a couple of minutes, shaking it vigorously several times. Maybe it will unstick the button, if this is a mechanical issue.
Glad that it worked, but please be advised that this method should be treated as a last resort, because a malfunctioning button can have compromised water resistance.
