If my heart rate were as high as my Garmin Forerunner 35 says it is, I would need to go to the hospital for a heart flutter problem. I tried My 35 yesterday for the first time. I claims that my rate for an easy 3-mile run was 175 BPM. My Polar device says my rate for the same run is about 130. I had the same problem years ago with an older Garmin device, except that one worked real well for a couple of years and then started intermittently registering off-the-wall-high rates. The GPS on that one went goofy too, so I bought the Polar. In a word, I don't trust the Garmin heart rate. BTW,
