735xt showing wrong time, battery drain and not connecting to GPS

I have a 3 month old 753xt, I suddenly realized yesterday morning that it was out of power( this was strange because it had battery the night before) when I charged it it came up as showing the wrong time :
1) tired connecting it to GPS that didn’t work.
2) then I updated the watch and it’s now running 9.40 nothing changed
3) I’ve also tried a hard reset
nothing seems to to be working and this morning the watch was again dead ( last night it was at 100%) battery
  • Same problem with mine.
    Just 4 weeks old....
  • I have also synced the device using a iPhone with the last garmin connect release. the watch has ben paired with the phone, I get the notification on the 735tx, but still the time doesn't sync the time with the iphone. I have done the hard reset (turning the garmin ON while press the lap button) and than paired again with the phone but no way. No way to have the synced time on the garmin.
Also GPS doen't work at all.
How is that nobody from GARMIN read and answer on the forum? That's quite annoying....
  • Something you could try is to connect your watch with USB cable to your computer, this will allow garmin express to download the location of the satellites (this is something the mobile app does not do). After synchronization unclip your device go out start a run activity and see if it finds sattelites now.

When this action does not help i'd suggest to contact garmin support and have your device replaced under warranty.

After not so many reoobts, the GPS is now working.
But the forerruner doesn't get synced with the time from the phone (via BT). Averythihng seems to work perfectly but the time and date. Shall I connect to the the GPS to get the time? Doesn't get the time/date from the iphone/android phone throught the garmin express app on the mobile phone??
    thanks for replying

  • Sorry you have had so many problems. Note that Garmin staff do not regularly monitor this and generally do not respond to problems here, just via customer support. The time update happens via the GPS signal if the "set time automatically" setting under system/clock is on, so if you don't get a GPS signal it cannot do so. You can also set it to " set time manually and adjust it yourself. When you check system/about, does the watch indicate you have GPS 3.30? Some people have reported it says 0.00 when it does not work which as far as I know requires customer service to help. If it has 3.30, sometimes it takes a while to obtain a GPS signal, especially when travel between use (and sometimes after a firmware upgrade, it "forgets"the last location to start seaching. I just got back from a trip and it took >5 minutes to relocate the signal. Good luck.
