All steps in a multi-step workout are summed up and being misleading

Hello,

When I run a multi-step workout, eg 12 min warm up followed by 30 minutes of actual running followed by 10 minutes cooling down (see picture), all is summed up afterwards. This makes the statistics misleading. I do not want the warming or cooling down to affect my pace and heartrate stats from the 30 minutes I actually did run. How do I do to see stats for each step in connect?

Thanks in advance!

  • Workout stages are stored as separate "laps" or "splits" (as Garmin Connect calls it). You can view summary for a selected stage in the "Splits" tab.

Thank you for the response tmk2.

When I look at the "split" or "laps" tab in Connect everything is shown and summarized. The picture (sorry for the language) below is from a workout where I had 12 minutes warm up. As you can see it shows both the warmup (marked as green) and the actual running. That's what I want to be seperated. As it is now everything is being summarized.

The autolap is set to 1km.

  • Hmmm, ok, that's because you use autolap. Otherwise the splits would be at workout stages only. Well, if you can't live without autolap, then I guess there's not much else you can do.

Of course I can live without autolap, I wrote it because I did suspect it could be the problem. I will definitely try to turn it off next time.

    Many thanks! :)
