Hi, The down button got sticky which makes the watch unusable. This makes the menu screens to change all the time and battery drains. Any tips how to fix it?
I have bought 3 Garmin watches before and they all served me well for several years. This is the first one than started to malfunction while 'young' (2 years). My assumption is that this happens more often on Triathlon/Swim watches than others.
I'm seeing several threads related to this. Unfortunately, all ending up with the same conclusion. I would at least call Garmin phone support to see what they can do.
Contact the support and ask for replacement, my enter button died on that watch just over a year usage, they still agreed to replace it even it was out of warranty, perhaps they know that those buttons are faulty.
I'm in the same situation. After 15 months of buying my 735xt, I got in touch with garmin because the buttons on the left did not work. They sent me a new one but 9 months have passed and the same thing happened to her. Now they tell me I'm out of warranty. I have always used garmin, but with this I am considering changing brands.
