Sleep monitoring and shift work

I am not sure if this is a problem anybody else has, but I am finding that my Garmin is not recording my sleep accurately? For example, I work night shifts two in every 10 days, not getting to bed until approximately 0730 hours.

Do Garmin not realise that it's users may not have a "normal" bed time? Is there a way around this?

I used the sleep tracker a lot on my Fitbit Charge 2 and at the moment I am a little disappointed that a device which costs twice as much isn't able to recognise when I am actually asleep.

I'm quite sure they do realize.

Is there a way around this?

Other than manually correcting fall-asleep and wake-up time, there is no way around this.

I also realize that sleep monitoring doesn't work properly and they should improve this feature for it's useful. I have to manually correct wake-up time every day and this is annoying

I also had a fitbit and regarding this point, it was much better than garmin, it tracked all moments during the day you were sleeping and had an amazing accurate
  • Same to me. I had a charge 2 which was excellent for sleep tracking. But Garmin is far away for Triathlon.

So now I sleep with the Fitbit Charge 2 on the right hand, I put it for sleep tracking only.

I hope that Garmin will improve about this.
