Hello everyone, I hope you can help me. The screen of my 735 has become detached and the "guts" of it are visible. What's the best way to reattach it? Superglue will hold it there, but will it still be waterproof? thank you in advance
The best way to fix this is to contact your seller or garmin support for replacement. If this is not an option, then properly glued should remain waterproof.
I had a Garmin Swim watch that came apart at the seam due to glue deterioration (it was a refurbished replacement watch so careful with that). I brought it to a dive watch repair shop (most would not even consider it), They were able to reglue it but said it would not be waterproof any longer. So Garmin support is your only option.
Yes I had the same problem. Screen detached without any reason. I never had such problem with polar or any other brand in 20 years using hr monitors...
Unfortunately it is not simple. When my Garmin swim watch did the same, I brought it to a dive watch repair shop. They said they could reattach the screen but it would not be water resistant enough for swimming. It has to be able to withstand water pressure (e.g., thrusting the watch each stroke). But it it is nolonger under warranty, you have nothing to lose seeing how long it will last.
Mine detached Vivoactive HR screen was repaired under warranty, now the warranty is expired and the screen is detached for the second time. So this are recurrent defect! I'm very unsatisfied with Garmin product quality
