Sync Issues - Transfer Failed due to Remote Device Not Enough Space

I am having big issues with my 735XT to sync with GCM. I have reinstalled v4.1.11 and done all the reboots and connects many times but it still doesn't sync. I get the message 'Transfer Failed' on my watch and when i look at the sync log on GCM it say's Remote_Device_Not_Enough_Space. Does anyone know how i can make more space as i've deleted the activity history on the device already.
My watch and phone sync fine and i am getting notifications ok with the weather and calendar info from GCM but it just seems like my watch can't sync to the GCM as the sync bar at the top only goes about 1/4 way round the circle before stopping. My steps are being counted on the GMC but it's not showing my heart rate or sleep plus won't save my new activities.

I hope the above makes sense as i've just tried to put as much info as possible as this is all very frustrating.

Update - I have managed to solve the issue by reverting the watch back to factory settings but if anyone knows of a way to help with the Not enough Storage issue that would be great as i have to do this every month or so which is very annoying as i have to reset all my activity fields, widgets etc each time.
  • Wish I could provide some insight but I've never seen this message before. Since the data is already on the watch I don't see how a lack of space there would cause an error like that, and I'm sure you have more than enough space on your phone to hold the file it doesn't make sense there either.

Moonie866, If you are consistently seeing this issue we would recommend that before you reset or delete anything, contact our Product Support team. Our Product Support team would like to collect your Garmin folder to determine why this is occurring.

I had the same issue with my FR735XT. I resolved it by updating to firmware v. 9.3 with Garmin Express instead of Garmin Connect Mobile.
  • I just uninstall the apps that want to update and reinstall the new ones. Assuming when device checks space it looks at old install and new as seperate things, so doubles the size.
  • My watch is failing to transfer any activities through garmin connect. I can only upload through garmin express. How can I fix this?

Deleting Activies directly from my Instinct worked for me.
