Using GPS while using Run Indoor?

my watch seems to work fine on my treadmill at home. I use it all the time there with no issues. Twice this week, I’ve used it at my gym, on a treadmill next to the window. The GPS gets a signal there, and tries to use GPS to track distance instead of my stride and steps like it should use on a treadmill.

anyone else have this issue? It’s so weird! I’ve never had an issue before.

There is a dedicated profile called "Indoor run" on the FR735XT. You should use this instead of just "Run" for treadmill runs. "Indoor run" should have GPS disabled by default.

I am using the indoor run setting, hence the problem.

I do have a watch face installed so I’ll look into that. I’ve had that the entire year I’ve had the watch though and it just started doing it.

As said above, there's been times when an update of some kind will cause GPS to turn on with indoor activities. I have a friend who's treadmill and physical therapy sessions have been showing squiggly GPS tracks on Strava lately.

Ok, just make sure that GPS is disabled in the "Indoor run" profile.

I use "Run Indoor" all the time - If you're using the correct profile then GPS will have a red cross through it meaning it's been disabled..
