735xt screen issues

the screen of my 735 starts blinking and then it goes blank, but watch still working as ti makes sounds and light works, but screen is dead. ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1291567.jpg ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1291568.jpg
  • Sorry to hear. Sounds like it is fatally faulty. Water? After the usual soft and hard reset, contact Garmin. If you are still under warranty, you should be set. Otherwise (at least in the US) they will likely offer you a refurbished unit for a reasonable price.

    That is what I thought, it was due to Water, but isn't it water resistant?

    I already did both resets and contacted garmin yesterday but still waiting for a response.

  • It's meant to be water-resistant, but it also says in the manual you are not meant to press the buttons underwater. Some people have seen issues with this ie water ingress

  • Agreed about button presses, and also rinsing after swimming. But occasionally the seals just fail for no apparent reason. I have had better luck calling Garmin directly than e-mail.

    Indeed, howrver that is not what happened, somehow water might got inside when finishing my workout
