Beta Version 9.02 Now Available!

A new Beta software for the Forerunner 735XT has been released. Full change log, instructions, and software for installing the beta can be found here.

[h=2]Installation Instructions[/h]

Connect your Forerunner 735XT to your computer using the USB cable.
Download and unzip Forerunner735XTBeta.zip. Place the GUPDATE.GCD file in the \GARMIN folder of your device's internal storage drive.
Disconnect your device from the computer, approve the update on the watch, and wait for the update to finish.
If you would like to revert to the last public release software, follow the above steps but place the GUPDATE-830.GCD file in the \GARMIN folder. Rename the file to GUPDATE.GCD before disconnecting your device. NOTE: If you revert to an older version of software, all of your settings will be reset to defaults.

Ok @Garmin-Joey,
successfully installed and no bugs to report right now. Widgets, Date Fields, and Watch Faces have remained. Great!

Tomorrow I try it in a workout...

After this update if I start and then discard the activity the watch hangs while attempting to discard... Should I do a factory reset?

Try a hard reset by pressing and holding the power button. See if that helps.

Ok, I have the first problem :(

I've already done two runs, both don't show the average pace in Garmin Connect. Average however is reported on the clock.

That could well be an issue with Garmin Connect rather than the watch! What does GCM show?

GCM always shows an empty field, but selecting it I see the graph.

Maybe there is no proper communication between the new Firmware and Garmin Connect...

Thank you for the tip - Did not work, logo still spins and the discarding message shows for a long time with no end in sight.

The problem I'm having is that the watch hangs while discarding an activity, also does it when saving. Since my last post I've done a factory reset and rolled back to Software Version 8.40 and all seems to be working fine.

Okay, I just did a try:

1. Launched a activity
2. After 10 seconds I paused
3. I restarted
4. Paused
5. Canceled activity

No problem or block!
