A new Beta software for the Forerunner 735XT has been released. Full change log, instructions, and software for installing the beta can be found here. Fixed an issue in which a Varia UT800 headlight could turn off unexpectedly. Various fixes and improvements to segments embedded within courses. Varia Vision fixes and improvements. [h=2]Installation Instructions[/h] Connect your Forerunner 735XT to your computer using the USB cable. Download and unzip Forerunner735XTBeta.zip. Place the GUPDATE.GCD file in the \GARMIN folder of your device's internal storage drive. Disconnect your device from the computer, approve the update on the watch, and wait for the update to finish. If you would like to revert to the last public release software, follow the above steps but place the GUPDATE-830.GCD file in the \GARMIN folder. Rename the file to GUPDATE.GCD before disconnecting your device. NOTE: If you revert to an older version of software, all of your settings will be reset to defaults. Hi, I just did the upgrade.

My first impressions:
* I missed the Widgets setting (no weather, no notifications, etc.)
* I also had to reinstall my WatchFaces Alpha.
* WatchFaces Alpha does not show me the Bluetooth icon and any unread notifications (yes, the smartphone is connected).

Tomorrow I'll try it out for a running, I'll let you know if you know of mistakes ;)

Ok, I reinstalled WatchFaces Alpha and now I see the status of Bluetooth and notifications!

Hi. I have also installed the beta and I did also experience that the widget gets tossed around (new are added and the order is changed). So I guess this updates process with does not save the configuration of current widgets. It could be that by updating we get some default widgets.
