Hello Guys,

first sorry for my bad english. I hope you will understand what i need.
I just want to disable all sounds and vibrations on my Garmin 735xt.
I only want when i run i get a short vivration every mile / km. Thats all.

At the moment i get no vibration at training but on every smart notifacation.
General i need only to switch this, but dont find any setting.

2nd question will be, if i can configure this will i still get smart notifacations?
For me its enough that i only get a icon or information - but no sound or vibration.

Thanks all
Cheers
Klaus
  • To disable all vibrations and sounds go into settings > system > sounds.

There you you can turn on or off key tones, alert tones and the vibration. This way you'll still get notifications on your watch but you won't be notified of their arrival.

To be alerted at every KM or mile you'll need to edit the activity settings.

Go to run > choose activity settings >

you can can either select alert and get alerted every distance reached or you can choose laps and turn auto on which means each run will automatically split your run up and your watch will alert you each time.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your reply.

I checked my system -> sounds and there where all disabled but when i get a smart notification it still have vibration. Its really strange. No Sound but vibration. Maybe I must change something on Garmin Express?!?

To get the vibration for every mile / km i must configure an alarm type?! Is this correct?

I am nit sure but I thought I say onetime one menu which has the option to configure sounds / vibration during workout and without workout?! Do know such a menu on the clock?
  • You can find that menu from the notification widget. When there press and hold the up key. You then have the options during activity and not during activity.

Im not sure exactly what set up you want but that should cover you.

As for getting a notification for each km yes you have to set this up yourself. The easiest way is to turn on auto laps and select the distance you want.

Thanks Damian for your quick and qualified help!
Beside this I found the DND function very helpful. It also make no sound or vibration on any Smart Notification. And my other problem with the running notification i will manage it with alarm how you prefer!
    All the best! Thanks!
