I'm sure someone with more experience with spin bikes will chime in with more detail. But basically it will depend on what spin bike you're using and what sensors it has on it.
I know that there are some that are used in spin bike classes that transmit ANT+ data like the speed/cadence sensors on a regular bike will while others use a more specific ANT+ channel (FE?) that I don't think is compatible with the 735. If the bike has no sensors at all, or sensors that don't work with the watch, then all you can record directly on the watch is time and heart rate and then add distance manually after saving the activity and it will calculate speed from that.
hi - I haven't unpacked my garmin yet, and I realise it's primarily for running, but with my old fitbit I would put it in my sock while I did a spin class on the bike, and it would count my "steps" I have a garmin forerunner 235 - does it have a step counting option in the same way a pedometer does? Thanks
