Hello all,

I have a Forerunner 735XT since december 2016, and I am really happy with.

Here is my problem :
- Sunday, I update the watch with version 7.20
- Wednesday, almost 50% of battery, I decide to shutdown the watch
- Friday, I want to restart the watch. I push the light button one second, the screen starts but it is not displaying something clear, some white and grey line. And 5 seconds after, screen is black like if it was shut off.

I connected it to the computer, believing that the battery was dead. The computer made the usual song when you connect USB. Then a few seconds after it make the "disconnected" song, whereas the watch was always plugged in.

Here is the things I tried:
- Warm up the watch with my hands to get some juice from the battery. It started for one second and then nothing.
- Keep it connected during one day on the computer
- Soft reset
- Hard reset
- Use wall power
- Check the cable with voltmeter: it gives 5V
- Check the watch pins with voltmeter: all of them are at zero

For the last point, I think something is disconnected inside the watch, preventing charging. I have never practised swimming, only biking, running and fitness. I always clean the watch with water and dry it with a towel immediately after.

Maybe you have a trick or something else. It is under guarantee so I will send it soon to Garmin.

Thank you.

Seems like it is broken and I have a couple of suggestions below that are slim chance. If no luck log a job through Garmin and request a replacement. I am in the process of getting a replacement now due to freezing up plus getting a corruption message from Windows 10 about a faulty drive when connected by cable.

Have you tried a different cable? I had a similar issue with a different brand and it connected and charged ok after I used another cable. Hopefully a friendly retailer could connect you in store to check if it makes a difference.

Are you able to see the FR in Connect with cable disconnected, or Express with cable connected? I had a screen frozen during an activity and although it wouldn't unfreeze I could see steps being recorded in Connect.
It appears you can't see it in Express from your current actions but resync if you can see it. Also see Garmin Webupdater tool if there is a cable connection and reload latest version.
