Sticker on Back of 735XT

I recently had the label sticker that surrounds the OHR come off the watch. I was able to remove the sticky residue and there is just a shiny plastic looking surface left now. Everything seems to work fine but wondering if I should be worried or if anyone else has experienced something similar? Thanks.
  • Serial number is shown in connect under device details
  • @JSRUNNER I have not seen them on the 935, but to be honest, I am not even sure all 735xt watches had them (or they wore off before many noticed). But on the 735 it was an oval (quite visible) sticker. The issue wasn't the sticker, but the opaque surface on the OHR that seemed to peel away with it (which for me also was of no consequence).
  • Andy275 Thanks for that - I certainly can't see anything obvious on the 935 :)

  • The sticker on the back of my 735xt has started to peel off. It hasn't influenced the functionality so far but I am slightly worried that it might have an effect later on. The glue from the sticker has been smeared all over the place and it's really hard to clean. Anyone else has been suffering from these?

This same thing happened to me at the gym today. The clear "cover sticker" came off, got adhesive all over my arm, and then black wording/serial #, etc., rubbed off, got stuck to my arm along with adhesive, etc.
  • Add me to the list.
The serial number sticker came off leaving the residue everywhere including the HR sensor.
I cannot tell as yet whether the sticker over that is on or off.

What's the best stuff to use to clean the residue off? Hopefully leaving the HR sensor sticker in place if it is still there.

And if it isn't, has everyone concluded after all this time that it doesn't cause any issues?

    Thanks

Wondering if Garmin improved the design since this was reported. My sticker with serial no and QR code is completely peeling off. Reported it through twitter. Place where I bought it (UK) cannot support as they claim they cannot receive shipment or ship replacement items and point me to the place I live (Japan). Garmin Japan cannot support either as they never sold the model here and they point in turn to country of purchase.

It is clear that the sticker peeling off does not impact the effectiveness and use of the watch. But ... I still do not like it. It simply is not nice and should be treated as a quality issue if it is reported by so many. A watch at this price should not have any peeling parts imo. A bit disappointed by the customer support for an international company like Garmin. Before having Garmin I had a device from a competitor and when reporting an issue then it was replaced without further question (shipment from US whilst I lived in Hong Kong).

    My opinion:
I'm hoping Garmin has more common sense than wasting precious resources of our earth or replacing a watch that functions perfect but has a sticker peeling of...
    a sticker on the back...
a sticker with no technical function and no esthetic function as it's on your wrist obviously.
    a sticker, really...
I think that is not worth shipping a watch without the sticker over the globe again and back, replacing it with a new watch... and who knows what happens with the old one (many item get thrown in trash after customers return it....)
