Weird symbol

Hi All,

A newbie here. Have been using my 735XT for a little over two months. Generally happy but noticed a weird symbol that appears out of nowhere, virtually - I think - with no relation to training sessions, sleep, etc. and it just bugs the living lights out of me that I can't figure out what it is. A glitch/ Or does it mean anything? Tried to google it to no avail. Thanks :)

    The watch face does not appear to be displaying correctly. What happens when you power the unit off and then back on?

    It goes away but then at some point re-appears after I turn the unit on. Actually it goes away even when I simply start flipping through different screens, i e go from the initial watch to the heart rate screen, then to my day stats, then to the last run data, etc... But then it pops back up again without seemingly any correlation between when it popped up and what I'm doing at the moment (sitting, running, walking, etc.) At least, I wasn't able to pick any patterns.

    If it's a glitch I wonder if there are software updates that may fix it, or will I have to send it to Garmin?

    I haven't seen this issue but had a problem with my FR735 locking up and wouldn't do anything for an hour. It locked a screen during an activity and froze.

    Garmin suggested their Webupdater tool, which does a clean install of latest version of software. Currently 7.1 I think. This is link but just Google Garmin Webupdater:

    It reinstalls software but didn't change any setup of exercise profiles so that is better than master reset. I had deleted a profile for Indoor Bike and it reinstalled a new one, which in my mind confirmed a clean install.

    Hi! Seems like a connection to a POD, or a speed/cadence sensor, or any other thing.
