Viewing list of notifications during an activity

Is there a way to view all pending notifications whilst an activity is running?

When the notification arrives, it appears on the screen for a few seconds and then disappears. If I pause the activity, I can view a list of the notifications, but can this be done *without* pausing the activity? Basic problem is that if I'm not able to view a message immediately -- if in the middle of lifting some weights, for example -- there doesn't seem to be a non-disruptive way to view them...
  • Don't think so.

With a certain hint of humour though if you are literally in the middle of lifting some weights I would be impressed you could then also fiddle with your watch....

    :)

I meant that if the notification occurs whilst I've got a bar in the air, I want to be able to view it *after* I put the bar down. Smart-arse ;)
  • You can but you need to go into activity settings and select during activity to have them show.

Select Menu > Settings > Bluetooth > Smart Notifications.
    2. Select During Activity > Notifications.
    3. Select Off, Show Calls Only, or Show All.
    4. Select Not During Activity > Notifications.
    5. Select Off, Show Calls Only, or Show All.
NOTE: You can change the audible sounds for notifications.

Thanks. I already have Smart Notifications -> During Activity -> Show All.

This results in notifications being shown during activities, but they disappear after a few seconds. I want to be able to bring up the list of recent/pending notifications during an activity, in the same way that you can from the watch-mode by pressing the up button twice.
  • As I said, I think you are out of luck here.

Looks like you either have to stop the timer or just pull your phone out.

I suspect you're right; was just a long-shot, hoping maybe I'd missed something obvious :(
