How can I tell if the watch is receiving HR from wrist or from my Foot Pod ?

Hi there,

I successfully connect/sync my Foot Pod (which I tied it to my shoe) with my Forerunner 735.

It shows the distance and pace and whatnot on my watch.

I am just wondering, when I am running outdoor, the GPS said it is ready. And the Foot Pod said it is connected. SO, when I run, is the HR, distance, pace comes from the Forerunner 735 wrist watch or Foot Pod ?

I wasn't aware that there were/are any foot pods on the market that have built-in heart rate sensors.

Neither was I.

The setting for where speed and distance comes from is in the settings for the foot pod. Default is for speed to come from the foot pod only when GPS is off. It can be changed to use the foot pod always if desired.

Apologies for the confusion.

I was referring to the speed & pace.

When the both foot pod is connected and GPS is on, does the readings for the speed and pace come from the foot pod or the watch itself ?

Find the sensor entry in Sensors & Accessories and check what Use as Speed Source is set to.

It says "Use as speed source only when the GPS is OFF"

Is that what you want? There is also the option to use it all the time.
