735xt training calendar syncs as separate workouts

Having an issue with Training Calendar sync on my 735xt with scheduled workouts syncing as regular ones.

E.g. when selecting a training plan the workouts populate the Calendar in Garmin Connect correctly and are seen as scheduled there, upon selecting "Send workouts to the device" the respective menu appear saying "XX workouts will be sent to your device" and the process seems to go OK, but upon sync end and "Updating" state successfully completed on the watch itself the Training Calendar still shows "Download your training calendar fron Garmin Connect" prompt. The synced workouts are however visible in "Workouts" section of the "Training" menu.

The issue persists when trying to sync the complete training plan and also a single scheduled workout (created and scheduled manually). I also tried syncing the watch via Bluetooth through Garmin Connect Mobile app for iOS and via USB from a Win-based laptop - the issue remains.

I browsed through the forum to found similar issues for other forerunner watches (220, 620), e.g. here https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?103933-Manual-fix-to-Training-Plan-events-not-uploading-to-220

On my watch however the "Garmin > Workouts > Schedule" folder is empty after the sync. Instead, I have a "Garmin > Schedule" folder which does contain a schedule.fit file. Deleting this file changes nothing. If I move this file to "Garmin > Workouts > Schedule" folder it gets deleted once the watch is disconnected and circles through "Updating" state.

Any help would be appreciated.

    This is an issue that the Garmin Connect team is working on. The files are being transferred to the device but they are going to the My Workouts section rather than the Training Calendar. We will be updating this Garmin Connect thread with any updates or once the issue is resolved.

    Ahhh, OK...

    Thanks for your prompt feedback on this - I almost got to resetting my watch to factory settings in my calendar sync challenge :)

    I'll be watching the thread you linked.

    I am having the same issue, the device is stated as compatible but with double asterisk mark saying: This device may not support all workouts or features. Please refer to your owner's manual for more detailed information.

    Any updates from the Garmin team should be great.
