Impossibly long time to upload activities via Bluetooth

Evening all,
Has anyone come across a problem whereby activities seem to take forever to upload to one's phone/computer via Bluetooth? It used to be instant...now it seems to have slowed to a halt. If i select 'sync' on the watch, it says 'file transfer already in progress' ... but after 30mins still nothing uploaded. Seems stuck. I have to either physically connect (then it transfers quickly) or open GCM and see the blue 'syncing...' bar appear at the bottom, and there it is.
It seems to have started after this slow recovery run last Thursday, which was 28mins but appeared to start 2 days before it really did, and hence lasted 48hrs.... and has a ridiculous rTSS of about 5,000, nicely messing everything up in TrainingPeaks.

Not sure if the events are linked... but a weird situation nevertheless.
Anyone any thoughts?
Many thanks
John
  • If you using android; in the app, at the bottom of the Settings menu is Device Sync Audit. Anything interesting in there? It would probably be a good idea to delete that problem activity from the watch. Additionally it is often a good idea to reboot the watch if you have syncing issues.
  • yeah agree - sometimes a "corrupted" file can cause problems.

also I tend to delete some of my older activities in my watch history from time to time to keep those on the watch to a more manageable number.
