Wrist Turn is not registering backlight

I have had my 735 for about a month, and just in the last few days I noticed the wrist turn is not activating the backlight. I have to literally shake my wrist twice to get it to go, it was not like this earlier. I did a complete reset of the phone, re-paired it and same results. Does not matter what time of day, DO NOT DISTURB is not on, and of course I checked that Wrist Turn is active.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance - love the watch

I find that I have to put my arm at my side and then raise my arm up in an exaggerated gesture for this to work. Have you tried this?

Hard to do when I am sitting at work or at home. Every other aspect is great, but given that it is winter and it is dark early, I find myself noticing this frustrating glitch more and more.
