Continuous scroll on 735xt

I am a loyal Garmin wearer for both sport and work. Have done an Ironman wearing my Garmin and conducted business meetings in the same watch. I upgrade at every tech advance and have never been happier than my Forerunner 735xt and the OHRM. It works more effectively than any strap. I've had the watch for several months and then without explanation, it is though a force has taken it over and it operates in continuous scroll mode with all buttons apparently operational and not stuck down. Video evidence attached. I've done the hard reset with no luck. Anyone else had this experience? Thanks in advance.

If you've done the hard/master reset, which should take it back to day-one condition, then this sure points to a hardware issue. Best to call Garmin support at this point.

Thanks for the confirmation. The hard reset is just holding the power button down for 15 seconds, correct?

That's a reset. See if that fixes anything. If not, then try restoring all default settings. Just be aware that this will delete almost everything.

Restoring All Default Settings
NOTE: This deletes all user-entered information and activity history.
You can reset all settings back to the factory default values.

Select Menu >> Settings >> System >> Restore Defaults >> Yes.

I think its an water exposure problem. My situation is it will start a run automatically.

I have the same problrm here. Keeps scrolling up only on the menu, not in the actrivity. I put in soap for 10min, fix for a bit but still the same problem. Light of the screen is on all the time and i cant change activity either. Any solutions?

I also have the same issue with the continuous scrolling and backlight always on. Just appeared out of the blue one day. Have tried a hard reset with no luck. Have you had any luck with a resolution?

Weird isnt it? indeed appear just in a random day. No lack, i didnt do it reset am not planning too. I put in a soap for 10min and start working the up button for a bit, then still the same. I keep it close, then when i open it sometimes till the up button works just once and then nothing. Btw, counts the km very faulty and the elevation also.

Its being fix just like that. Now as i was sitting it started scrolling alone again. Either is being hacked or garmin updated is wrong. But accidentally its fixed. When i dont use it i switch it off by the way.
