Notification for emails vibrates twice

I did a search so forgive me if this has been asked and I missed it, but I use Blue Mail for Exchange on Galaxy S7 and every time an email comes in I get 2 vibration notifications on my watch - anyone else experience this issue with a notification?

I do love this watch, ended up returning the Fenix3HR as it chaffed my wrist on any runs longer than 8 miles. Can't say enough great things about this puppy. Best thing I can say is I usually forget it is even there during the day it is so comfortable.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
  • Not quite sure I understand. Do you get two actual notifications of the same thing (so essentially a duplicate) or is that it vibrates twice?

Did you set up your e-mail account credentials in both the Blue Mail app, and in the Android operating system settings, such that the native Email app on Samsung devices can also access the account? If so, could it be that the two notifications for a new message are generated by different apps?

I get one message but it vibrates two distinct times - making me think every time I feel it that I have two messages

    ***Solved****

No idea why but I think it was because I had Exchange pulling in the Calendar and BlueMail pulling in the mail - uninstalled the BlueMail (it was not able to sync calendar) and tried Nine - which has full active sync compatibility. Anyway, I only get one vibration now.

Thread necromancy but relevant: Garmin MARQ Aviator was exhibiting the same issue.

Answer was (as here) remove notifications from the Samsung App on my phone as that and GMail were both sending them (even though I only use gmail on the phone).

Similarly double notifications on SMS messages; resolved by disabling notifications from Hangouts (as I prefer Samsung's messaging app).

Three year old thread, still helpful. Thanks.
