Sometimes I use my 735xt for indoor training on my Schwinn AC Performance bike that broadcasts Power and Cadence. However, there are lots of dropped signals that record as 'zero'. This render my power data useless because Garmin counts zeros in their average. Is there a way to change this so that zero's are not counted? It happens on both power and cadence. I contacted Schwinn and the case went up to the senior design engineers over a 2 week period and was told their system works fine so it must be the 735 that looses the connection/signal. Either way, is there a way to change the 735 or Garmin Connect so that zeros are not counted? Thanks!
I did an hour indoors on a Wattbike last night https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/1475572615 and that transmits power/cadence/speed over ANT+ which my 735 (on my left wrist) has seemingly picked up just fine.
Have you tried moving your 735 "nearer" to the ANT data source here? That's what I usually do on my own indoor trainer with own bike and PM - e,g. putting on top tube not my wrist.
I don't think "use zeores" or not is configurable in GC but imagine other software analysis packages might allow it. Better though to identify the connection issue.
Thanks, I never wear on my wrist when cycling. I've placed it in different areas of the bike, even directly on top of the broadcasting unit. I'm thinking Schwinn is the one at fault here and they are passing the buck. I still have my previous 910xt and had the same results... dropped signals. Plus your own test confirms it. To bad there is no way to change on GC. I really don't want to deal with other third party software... i like the integration of "everything-garmin".
