Update 6.20: Daily step count no longer resets with new day

After updating yesterday to 6.20, i see this morning that my daily step count on the watch hasn't reset back to zero, although it keeps incrementing with my new steps. GCM shows the (wrong) watch count in the "my day" snapshot but the correct count when i touch through to "step details".

Anyone else wake up to find the same after updating?

... and then it suddenly fixed itself, both on the watch and GCM, a little before midday, after syncing numerous times over the morning and uploading a swim. Not sure what the trick was.

Steps do reset normally on my watch, but I have got a similar problem. Today I went for a run (walk actually) and the distance covered was correctly added to my daily distance. However, the steps were not. So my watch tells me that I did 6km with 2230 steps. I'm not sure though that this is related to the latest 735 firmware version. Garmin introduced syncing steps over multiple devices in the last few days, which could also have messed something up

Strange. After syncing with GCM a little after midnight it's doing it again.

I guess this has something to do with the new way they integrate steps etc from multiple devices? (Not that i'm using multiple devices, just the 735XT, but it seems they've changed some things around in the backend)
  • wrong step counter here, too

Starting with fw 6.20, my watch keep showing the wrong step count also to me!
One possibility it is because I was using the clock in manual mode: I've seen that - in my situation - the watch was resetting the step counter at midday instead of midnight!
I'm not sure of that correlation betweend clock setup and step counter, anyway.

Now I've switched to automatic mode for the clock and tomorrow I'll tell you if there are any differences!
