Ac adapter

There is an optional AC adapter for this watch. The Garmin site does not mention the voltage or amperage of the adapter. Does anyone have one who is willing to report back? Hoping the specs are close to the iPhone adapter.
  • I don't have it but I'm charging my watch with my iPad adapter witch no issues ;)
  • You can use literally any USB charger with this watch. I've used generic USB chargers and been fine, as well as the dankest USB built in power outlet. It's all good. Don't waste money on the Garmin charger.
  • The voltage would be 5V (as that's standard for USB), but I'm not sure about the amperage. I've used different chargers and an USB3 port from a MacBook to charge it and the charging time was about the same in all cases.

An iPhone charger will work just fine, as will an iPad charger. Current iPhone chargers are 1A and current iPad chargers are 2.4A, just so you know. So as others have pointed out, as long as the USB charger is 5V with roughly 0.5A or better, you will be fine.

In my case my watch is only charging, If the charger is not to strong. If I take my normal charger for my mobile (2A), nothing happens

If you are charging from a "wall charger" or battery pack then the charging indicator is much more subtle and the whole screen does not change like it does when connected to a computer. Assuming the contact with the charger is correct, might be worth double checking this.

As a footnote here, if you have a Connect IQ watchface showing, most give no indication of charging, other that seeing the battery level increasing. So it could be charging but you wont see any difference.
