Skiing activities

Hello there,

My first post on this forum. Being a Garmin regular user with my Vivosmart (second one, starting to loose pixels just like the 1st one :() and Swim, I am looking into a way to combine both. The 735xt is currently standing out (as fenix3 is a bit too big for my taste). I see the XC Skiing is supported but not Alpine Skiing. Since I am regular swimmer + skier in the winter, if Alping Skiing is something that could be added in a future Firmware to come ? Or the absence of barometer is a showstopper anyway ?

Many thanks,

Jérôme
  • Yes the absence of a barometer would make supporting alpine skiing somewhat purposeless. Get a Fenix 3 or 920 for that but if that is not a must for you then the 735 is definitely worth considering especially if you find the Fenix 3 too big.
  • Actually, another option is the va-hr. It's got a baro Altimeter, and even a native app for Alpine skiing. (and also for XC skiing and lap swimming - no open water swimming though)

If you're coming from a vs, it might be something to look at.
