Comparison of tracks from 735XT and fenix 3HR

For those interested, here's a comparison of the tracks from my new 735XT (blue) with a fenix 3 HR (pink), both set for 1 second recording. First time using mygpsfiles.com, so if something seems off let me know and I'll upload again. FWIW, I paused the run a few times (for reasons unrelated to the comparison) and the 735XT measured longer than the fenix by about 0.07 miles. I had both watches set to record a 6 mile run, with 1/4 mile warmup and a 1/4 cool down.

Have posted the comparison in the fenix 3HR forum also.

  • Here's my last set of tracks comparing the fenix 3 HR (orange) with the 735XT (blue). The 735 is smoother, and somewhat more on course. But they both came out to within about 0.05 miles of each other.

Wow to my eyes the 735xt looks clearly superior especially on the satellite view. My 735 arrives on Tuesday the 24th and I can post some tracks between that and an A3P on the same area of GGP (JFK/MLK).

    Thanks for sharing!
  • Yeah, the 735XT seems pretty decent. Also, both times I've run with both the fenix and the 735 it seems like it take a while for the fenix to catch up with the 735.

Frankly, I prefer the styling and the screen of the fenix, but the 735 seems a more appropriate size and weight when used primarily as a running watch. Add to that it's better tracking and (in my case) heart rate functioning, it seems like a more logical choice for me.
