Why I love the 645M

The 645M is one of the best watches at its formfactor.

I might offend someone but here it goes.

Personally I CAN do the following with, contrary to common knowledge with the watch.

  • Check HRV
  • Check Body battery
  • Quick PacePro
  • Offline map datafield in color with a heading arrow superimposed

I admit workarounds but I have only used garmin for a few months only.

Great little bugger

  • How did you manage PacePro?

  • I wrote I have good workarounds ;)

    Adv. R&T Pacer.

you can have something like 40 waypoints and set them up by taking the pacepro intervals and just make it a string,

You have also set very complex scripts.  These scripts you can save on a google doc and access them from the computer or phone. Here's a string for example that I use for a hilly wood route: (intervals taken from PacePro intervals set at hills.

    2:00 8:00, 1.08 6:38; 0.56 7:12; 0.82 6:27; 0.44 7:00; 0.92 5:59; 0.43 6:52; 0.97 5:47; 0.49 6:03; 0.70 5:28; 1.25 5:49, 2:00 8:00; 8:00

the red is 2 mins at 8:00 min/km  (warm-up which you can remove).  next is 1.08 km interval at 6:38min/km... this is because the datafield sees the formatting and knows if its minutes or distance. You can keep track if you are ahead or too slow by seconds using a user customized screen full of information.

Notice after the 8:00 in red, there's a comma sign instead of a semi-colon you can see after the 6:38. this is because after the warm-up I want to reset the total ahead or behind counter to zero once I start running. You can do way more stuff

  • Fantastic stuff, thank you for sharing. Certainly will be utilizing!
