Sawtooth elevation running profiles

I've only recently acquired a 645Music and for the last few runs on flat routes the "sawtooth" elevation recording has been evident and shows no likelihood of disappearing.

Garmin are currently processing a replacement for me.

I like the watch generally, and it was in my VFM sweetspot (£189 in the UK) but wondered what hope I can hold out for in terms of expecting any replacement to display the same issues?  I know there are not-uncommon issues with the barometric altimeter going awry, and in all honesty I can work around the sawtooth profile most of the time, but it would be nice for it to be "right".

So does anyone's 645Music *not* display the odd sawtooth profile when running on flat / near as dammit flat routes (example below).  It does seem that if I run a hillier route then either the errors don't appear, or they are masked by the bigger changes in elevation anyway, so perhaps they don't get noticed then.
