Cracking

Hi I've recently just discovered cracking on the sensor area to my watch, I use this watch for two runs a week and it's kept in a watch box and never been dropped, my wife's watch is also starting to crack can I assume this a quality issue with the plastic?

I'm hoping the watch will be replaced by garmin

Yeah, mine has cracking in the same spot. It's also cracked at the pin location which apparently is a known problem. Second time that's happened with mine.

I've got the same issue, I emailed garmin and they said its just cosmetic so no replacement. I definitely think it has an impact on the heart rate accuracy!

A friend has same issue with his 935 and they replaced his.

Agreed. The sensor omits light into the skin. A crack will deflect the light's path. I think the answer you received is nonsense. I would call support if possible instead of emailing them. The only obstacle you may face is proving the cracks weren't due to negligence or improper care. The "cosmetic" answer doesn't sit well with me.
