Since getting the firmware update to 7.00 Live Tracking will only work if started manually from the phone. It will not start automatically when an activity starts on the watch. Have checked the permissions on the phone, restarted both phone and watch but consistently get a message that Live Track has failed. This is clearly a firmware problem as it worked fine until the update.My wife got the same update a few days later than me and her tracking has also failed since installing it.

LiveTrack works fine with my old Forerunner 920XT so it has nothing to do with the phone or Garmin Connect. Another long call to support in Munich and they are finally taking it more seriously…
This is the way I'm using the LiveTrack capabilities. Haven't tested incident detection when connected via this approach.
