Hi, any news of my 645 normal? Thnx :)
Does Garmin realize how dispiriting ot their customers to be told that a $300 USD watch designed less than 3 years ago is now EOL and no support given. I'm talking about the 645 Non-Music. Two months…
Has the Non-Music version reach EOL already! More and more things are not working that depend on this firmware update. Is is coming and when????
I got this update to firmware v7.0 on my 645M this morning. I went for a run and it froze after ~55mins (halfway through a tough 30min section). It's not uncommon to freeze for a few seconds, but this was totally gone. I gave up waiting and forced a restart after a minute or so (though it took a while to come back up - eeek! Seeing that triangle for a while is scary, having accidentally bricked a couple of watches before) then you have that thing after a mid-activity restart where you have to re-set up your custom data fields, reconnect headphones, etc - all while trying to maintain a decent pace. It lost GPS after the restart too, and never found it again, but it did work on a later activity, so hopefully it's ok.
Is anyone else suffering new stability problems?
If it helps, I was running with the Stryd workout app, connected to my Garmin Run HRM, Stryd (via ANT+) and Trekz Air BT headphones. It was an out-and-back finishing near the start, not over on the East side: connect.garmin.com/.../5879593388
My 645M got stuck in an endless 'Saving' loop this morning after a ride. Installed firmware v7 before I started, and seem to work fine until I ended and tried to save. After 30 minutes I reset the watch, no activity recorded. Sync'd with my PC and there is a 117kb fit file that appears to be corrupt - won't load into Strava or Sporttracks.
Anyone have that problem or know how to salvage the file?
Thanks

Zip the FIT file and insert it into your post. We can take a look at it to see if it is repairable.
