FR645M keeps dropping connect IQ apps (datafield and watch faces)

My FR645M keeps dropping apps.

I don't know when this happens but it happens almost every day, sometimes even multiple times.

It seems to happen at different hours so probably not related to time reset or anything.

When this happens, all the installed apps will disappear from the watch but the music will not.

Usually I only install the Forerunner 645 watch face, datarun (data field) and all-in-one (data field).

It is very annoying.

Anyone has any ideas? Thanks!

  • I had a similar problem when I first got mine a couple of years ago, and it involved the apps as well as the widgets. I think it happened when I would rearrange them in the phone app instead of the watch. An update to the mobile app and/or watch firmware fixed it, so make sure you're on the latest of each. However, if this just started happening to you, no idea.

  • I have the newest firmware. The support team told me to reset the watch.

    I reset the watch and it still happened for the first two times.

    Now I am on the third reset and will update here if it still goes wrong.

  • Still have no idea what is going on. Ordered a replacement from amazon.
