Forerunner 645 Series SW 6.70 is now live

This update can be downloaded with Garmin Express or automatically with Garmin Connect Mobile pending rollout.

Change Log

Added support for descriptive WiFi errors when syncing music. (Music version only)
Fixed an issue where the Heart Rate field was getting clipped on the watch face.
Fixed an issue where bike lights were staying on during non-cycling activities.

Well, for an abandoned device (even the cheapo ones received more feature/updates than the 645) I don't much hope.

I'll keep posting all the crashes on [https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/running-multisport/f/forerunner-645-645-m/230075/no-updates-for-7-months-and-my-645-keeps-crashing-while-hiking-running]. Maybe someday they'll have a look at my logs and commit a fix.

did you a "hard restart"? Long press the upper left button until the watch goes out?

Yup. Note that the initial upgrade seemed to happen over WiFi. After it froze and I hard reset, I used Garmin Express on the computer then to sync as well to ensure everything was ok. It’s been ok after that (though it’s only been a day)

Fingers crossed, I haven't used it yet. 645/M firmware changed a year ago and wifi Spotify music sync became horrible. Sounds like Garmin is finally trying to address the issue. We'll see. Last weeks driver update to ANT/BT 5.04 seems to help me.

Had my first run with 6.70 this evening, all seemed as normal but going by the change log, very little has changed for the 645.

In Garmin Express it had a huge change log, but I can't seem to find it now that it's installed and can't seem to find it anywhere on garmin's website. Former Member - can you post the change log as shown by Garmin Express?

I think, but maybe I am wrong, but there should be 2 changelogs. 645M received FW 6.60, so changlog is smaller than for 645 non-music, where the latest one was 6.40.

when can we expect support for wrist heart rate for swimming? Most other (even lower end) Forerunners have it...
