It is a known problem. If you run later immediately after charging the battery it gives this problem. next time after chargin it turn it off and turn it on again and you will see that the battery consumption…
yep, volume down on headphones still doest work!!!
I would appreciate if Garmin could please comment on the volume down issue. Maybe explain the difficulties in fixing this regression or just explain why this regression is simply ignored for months?
I'm with 6.4 since one week (forced ... I forgot to uncheck the autoupdate ... So the watch plugged on the computer to feed the battery et voilà !).
No problem. Only two activity of one hour each (running, 10 and 15kms). No bug, battery drain is ok (h24 wearing, still 59% at the moment, no recharge since the update and the activities).
I'm using an hard reseted watch, only DF4Trail data field and I run with GPS only. Always in BT with my phone but no smartnotifications.
I had constant problems with both 5.90 & 6.20 FW. I upgraded to the beta 6.36 a week ago and treadmill calibration was much improved. I then upgraded to 6.40 three days ago. Have done 2x5km runs on this version, according to theTM it was 5.00km my 645 read 4.96km. Hallujah! That's close enough for me.
sounds good! thanks for your return, much appreciated!
I did update yesterday, but treadmill issue still the same. 21km instead of 10km.
I’ve now completed 3 runs over 3 days. No lock ups, no freezes and no need to reboot to get sync to work. Battery life seems ok. Overall works well for me.
Garmin RDPod, Beats Powerbeats Pro, Wahoo Tickr HRM, iPhone 11 Pro with latest iOS 13.x public beta.
First impressions:
. Spotify playlist update is working (still VERY slow and drains a lot the battery but it always been like that so maybe this can be optimized in the future)
. No freeze during or after saving activity (I had just 3 freezes with previous firmware even making 5 runs/week and 3 strength/week)
. Battery drains 14-15%/day in “smartwatch mode” (so 6-7 days witch is OK)
. RD-Pod OK
I did not tested listen music yet with this new SW to check stability with my Jaybird X3, but I was not having problems before so I hope it still working.
I will try to make some tests using GPS + Galileo to check battery drains, cause I use TrainingPeaks workouts and the vibrations to alert pace intervals seems to drain more battery
So at this point aI am very happy with thus update
