Garmin not counting distance and crashes while saving activities

I´m afraid my Garmin has some problems. Lately it does not count distance when I run, although it counts time, and in the beginning it seems the GPS works. And when I try to save an activity, it crashes while saving, and I have to reset it. And no activity is saved. The music works fine, software seems to be up-to-date.

Any help will be much appreciated.

    I suggest opening a case with Garmin Support if you haven't done so already. Worst case they'll replace the watch.

    Do you use a custom watch face? I found by reverting to the standard watch face before a long run I had less crashes on saving...and better battery too.

    I did, they suggested resetting the watch. I´ll try it tomorrow and see if it worked. Thank you for the advice.

    Thank you for the advice. I have a custom watch face... I actually reset the watch in a desperate move, and also as an advice from Garmin. I hope it worked.

    So, I removed all songs and reset the watch and today it worked fine. I hope it lasts.

    I'm having the same issue.  I'm on my 2nd 245 - Garmin replaced my first one because I was also having the rebooting when trying to save issue.  I've had the replacement since January - already on my 2nd report to support because I basically can't use the watch. The first time they helped me delete files and factory reset and it worked for about 2 months again. I really wanted this watch to work out and I'm beyond frustrated by all the problems I've had with it.  My cheaper forerunner 35 worked better!!!

    I had this same problem.  I did a full reset the first time and everything was fine except all of my setup was gone (wish Garmin Connect would save it and sync it back on the cleared watch) .  It happened again 3 months later.  This time I just deleted all my activities and it worked fine.  So every month I am deleting all activities (no biggee since I back them up and they are on Garmin Connect).
