Hi,
I recently bought a Vivomove 3 - I like the more "traditional" look of the device and was curious 'bout the new sensors and body - battery stuff. Concerning physio true up (which almost works fine - only some hickups concerning floors, nothing serious) everything ist fine, but using the forerunner ONLY for sports has some really crazy effects:
.) Intensityminutes: as ist seems, the resting heartrate ist held on the device and not taken from my profile. On the forerunner I had a resting heartrate of 86 (normal 48). This screwed up the intensity minutes calculation of the forerunner (no double minutes).
.) Training level: probably as a result of the fact above, my training level behaves like a wild horse. After one hour biking (average level) my points doubled. After a intense run I dropped and "lost my form".
I found out, that I can fix the intesityminutes using a fixed resting heartrate on the device, but this didn't solve the issue with the training level (probably it will level out in the coming trainings?).
Is there any way to take more data stored in my profile into consideration - or to "recalculate" trainings on the server with more accurate data (not only the ones on the watch)? Garmin should - especially 'cause the devices get more an more - really deal with these things in a more reliable way. Especially when there's no device which fits all your needs. On some devices - for example - you can link the intensityminutes-calculation to heartratezones. On the forerunner obviously not ...
