Battery life issue

Hi Guys, I have just received 645 (non M) and used it for about 10 days on 6.2 firmware.  I don't seem to have freezing problem many people experience here, but I do have a concern about battery life. I left a fully charged watch for about 7 hours (overnight)  and battery charge went down by 8% . This doesn't seem to be normal to me. I called support and they told me that I shouldn't charge the watch using any regular wall charger, I should charge it using a computer USB port and see how it goes. Does this make any sense? I never had any problem charging my forerunner 220 from any charger.  The next step they advised to reset the watch. This is also not very assuring. I only had the watch for 10 days. I really like the watch and would love to keep it. But so far, I am worried. I don't use any fancy custom options or external devices. Can someone please comment on my concerns.

My watch started having battery drain issues with software version 6.2.  I used to get 5 days on a charge, 3 with a couple of hour long runs added in.  Now I can't get through one full day without re-charging.

  • I have same problem with battery drain. More or less -5%/hr in watch mode. It's necessary charge every day. The problem start with 5.90 or 6.20 sw release, before I have no problem and I charge every 5 days. I hope that garmin solves the problem as soon as possible
