Considering Jaybird Vista truly wireless earbuds - any issues with music dropouts while wearing 645M on left wrist?

Currently using Aukey EB-40's and music plays well with no dropouts with my 645M (controls on left side).  I previously used a pair of Mee-X7 Plus earphones which had any dropouts - the controls (and I assume Bluetooth antenna were located on the right ear side.  Note that the dropouts happen on outdoor runs only.  When indoors, the Mee-X7 Plus headphones don't have any dropouts - walls work great in bouncing the BT signal from the 645 around.

I wear my watch on my left wrist as I am right handed and prefer to operate the watch while it is on my left wrist.

Has anyone tried the new Jaybird Vista truly wireless earbuds, outside, while wearing the watch on their left wrist?  What's your experience been like?  As an aside, any foam tips available yet for the Jaybird Vista?  My ear canals cannot stand silicone tips - the seal is too tight with silicone - I prefer Comply foam tips.

  • I have had the Vistas for several weeks now and have been very pleased with them. I have had quite a few Bluetooth sets with wires, including Jaybird X3. The Vista has a far superior connection than all of the rest that I have used. It doesn’t matter which side your watch is on because both buds will receive depending on which ever currently has the best signal. I go on three hour plus runs outdoors with no issues at all. The battery life is the best I have had in wireless, and the battery case is very nice as well. I don’t know about foam tips honestly, the default tip was perfect in my ear. I can say that they are lightweight, very comfortable, and stay put when running hard. The price point is on the high side but I feel it is more than warranted. Sorry to sound like an advertisement. I often skipped music on runs because headphones in general get irritating to me, but the Vista is by far the best quality and most comfortable ear buds I have ever used. I don’t go running without them.

  • Thanks very much for the thorough reply!

  • I Also have the Vistas and dont have any issues with them.  I do long runs of 5miles and MTB rids of 15 without issues.  I think you may get an occasional skip, but nothing too bad, once or twice in a run.

  • I have long runs/mtb rides of 5/15 miles and do not experience any issues with my Vistas.  They sound great and connect easily.  I have had a skip or two during a workout, but nothing major.

I can't get my 645 music to control the volume of the earbuds. I am using spotify music. The volume control doesn't work at all. I had the music cut out while running, there was a software update and I haven't tried running with it again.
