Garmin Pay "Setup Failed" - can't get anything to work

Keep getting this Setup Failed message when trying to add a card. "To prepare your Forerunner 645 Music for Garmin Pay, please try again."

I've uninstalled & reinstalled, I've signed out and back in, and I did a factory reset of my 645. Nothing works.

I have had exactly the same since I did a reset of my Garmin due to some mapping issues, bit rubbish really!

I contacted Garmin support and they said I’m the first person to encounter this issue so they’re trying to investigate. Might help if you contact too

Hi ! I have exactly the same issue with my new Garmin Fenix 6S. The first watch I buy had some issues with sensor but Garmin Pay was setup without problem. I return it and received a new one... Everything works except Garmin Pay setup.

Like you, I try all the possibilities : Delete Connect, complete Reset of the Watch. Nothing work.

Yeah I just noticed this is all over the Fenix forums as well, so looks like it’s a problem with Garmin Connect or Garmin Pay, not our individual watches, which is a good thing. But I can’t believe there’s not a fix yet.

My card disappeared from the wallet and I can not add it now. I will create a ticket.

Same problem here, (645 Music v6.20) Garmin Pay stopped working two days ago and I cant add my card anymore.

I have created a ticket for support. But it started working for me yesterday. I was able to add a card again.

Works now. Guess they figured out what was wrong.

I'm having the same issue with Vivoactive 3 - any update in meantime?

I have the same problem now with my new Vivoactive 3. I first could add my card but the system did throw my card away since a connected with a new account. I couldn't add the card with my new account. Changing to my old account I also couldn't add a card any more. Any updates?
