I'm using the metronome on my Forerunner 645M quite a bit, but I have found that it doesn't beep/vibrate in a steady fashion. For instance, when I set the metronome to 180bpm, the beeps are quite often gone for a few seconds, or they seem to 'adjust' to something, i.e. searching for a particular point to pick up where it left. That 'something' or point might be actual steps or landing registered, or something else, I don't know, but I would much rather see the metronome just being independent of anything external, just like having a music metronome or an mp3-file playing a tone 180 times per minute.
Do you know what might cause the disruptions in the metronome, whether there are indeed external factors like actual cadence or landing determining at play? And if so, would there be a way to turn off these factors?
