Faulty barometer and temperature sensor

Does anyone have issues with their barometer and/or temperature sensor? I'm getting no reading from either sensors at all.

Two days ago, my 645M shut down out of nowhere seemingly due to low battery (although I was pretty sure it had 60% just a few hours ago ..). After that, the barometer and temperature sensor stopped reporting any readings -- starting an activity with temperature and elevation data screens showed "--.-" and "-----" respectively, and the temperature widget just showed "---".

I've tried a default settings reset, a data+settings reset, and a master reset (from power off, hold power+start+back, then release start after one beep and back after another). Still no luck.

While trying to reset it, I also stumbled upon Test Mode, and the baro test screen said that the reading was invalid, or something to that effect.

Is that a hardware failure? I hope not, because it's probably going to be a pain in the ass getting a replacement since I've been travelling around quite a bit too.

Something similar happened to me. Yesterday, the watch froze for no reason. I rebooted it, then the time was completely off. After a sync, time was accurate again. But 2 hours later, I realized that the watch was behind by about 15 minutes... Then, in the middle of the night, it shut down. It seems that all the battery run out (it was fully charged the day before so definitely something odd). Finally, today it doesn't record my steps or heart rate. I did all resets possible and it still doesn't record anything :/ I imagine this is a software update gone wrong.
    Garmin, any patch coming??

Edit: I don't see anyone reporting this issue, so I guess it's only my unit. I will bring it to the service center later this week.
  • This same problem has happened to me, have you solved it?

My temp and baro readings are not displayed, the calibration fails and baro test says invalid.

I bought the watch second hand so I don't have the purchase ticket, but watch it's less than 2 years old so warranty should be still active, did Garmin offer support without the warranty like other brands do using the serial number to track the unit?
