Hardware components: different within 645M versions (2018/2019 lineup)?

I currently own a Forerunner 645M (Slate With Black Coloured band).
As very much of you, and as can be found on several threads, I am experiencing bluetooth connection issues with my iPhone XS/iOS.

I am able to return this device and get a new one. Is there any change in hardware from the Garmin I bought in July 2018 and the 645M that is currently be sold in stores or online?
I know that sometimes slight/incremental updates to hardware are made (BT-components or others) for the same model.

I asked a similar question to Garmin Support. They told me, other than the watch colors, there have not been any hardware revisions. This came from one tech though, so take it with a grain of salt.

I think there is a hardware difference or at least they've improved manufacturing. I had two 645m watches over the summer and both had abysmal Bluetooth strength. Constant cutouts on all my headphones. My third is has zero Bluetooth issues from the get go in the same scenarios.

Never had Bluetooth issues with the two 645M I have owned, but erratic elevation plots have been a constant problem for me.
