Waterproof headphones for Garmin 645M

I’m considering buying Garmin 645M for running and swimming but struggling to find some waterproof headphones. Anyone can help with this matter please? I would appreciate some advice, thank you
  • There are plenty that are water resistant. Just to be clear, you want water proof, as in you want to swim and go under water while using them? Water would absorb the Bluetooth 2.4GHz signal, which means it's not going to communicate very well, if at all with your 645M.
  • Put my 5x+ in my bathtub (full with water, 30 centimeters water above the watch) and the music was transferred without any errors to my Anker soundbar (one meter distance to my 5x+). Maybe the combination of water and movement occurs issues?
  • Yes, and the smaller antenna on the headphones. People are already complaining about connectivity issues between the 645M and their BT headphones going thru thin air. Nonetheless, I did a search and found that they do exist, although I remain skeptical. xFyro headphones was one. They state "IPX 7 Waterproof," but the reviews on amazon are terrible.

And, I'm not sure IPX7 (withstands incidental exposure to water of up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes) is really suitable for swimming.
Additional searching for IPX8 BT headphones comes up with some interesting results. My understanding is that these are rated IPX8 due to the fact that they can survive constant immersion in water more then 1 meter in depth. This doesn't mean that they will continue to function, as in hear music while underwater.

For swimming with music your best bet is either a waterproof music player along with waterproof wired headphones (there are several options out there) or something like the Bragi Dash which is waterproof and has built in music storage so the lack of bluetooth underwater is not an issue (I have not personally tried these, I just know they are one of the few sets of BT headphones with built in storage that are also waterproof).
